the essence of motherhood

So often I talk to mothers who say they take all the photos of their children, their family and rarely make it a priority to be in the pictures themselves. It’s easy to put off getting in front of the camera and we have many reasons why we don’t like having our photos taken.

But what if there were no good reason to put off those images with your kids?

Motherhood is a journey, you know this as well as I. Sometimes we don’t feel as confident as we once did or hope to in the future - but there is one thing I can promise you - your children aren’t concerned about those things. They see you as their comforter, protector, playmate and provider. They know they can come to you with their silly stories and you’ll laugh with them, just as they can come to you with their pain and you’ll hold them (and probably shed a tear, too). You are your children’s world, you are home to them. Those connections are worth memorializing. The bond between you is everlasting and it is important to have images that are as well.
